Dear Newton families and friends, thank you for a warm and amazing Charity Drive at Hui Xin Campus.
Eventhough we unfortunately had to reschedule the planned Charity Drive event from Friday, January 22nd to Tuesday, January 26th we were thrilled to see so many take part in the festivities.
Parents from the Charity Fund committee were helping us receive donations at the entrance, whereafter visitors would receive "good luck ribbons" to write wishes on and hang on the trees in the garden, as a much beloved chinese tradition.
Inside the campus, families enjoyed performances on the main stage, hosted by Mr. Nick and Ms. Reece, presenting games for moms and dads, as well as performances by the Monkey King team, K2 students, Dragon, Lion & drum performers. The train was making rounds around the school and Newton teachers and staff were taking turns at the "sponge a teacher" game in the play-plaza.
Starbucks, Danish Baking Shifu and many more vendors were present, selling delicious snacks such as sweet potatoes and roasted chestnuts or simply presenting their services to parents.
With a grand total of 32.506 RMB raised for the Charity Fund we are once again allowed to really make a difference and to provide help, when needed most.
Thank you everyone!
