"Take me out to the ball game!"
This semester our K1 and K2 kids have had the opportunity to participate
in professional style Major League Baseball training at the local Amigo
Baseball Camp. In the last couple months students have been going with
their class to the facility near campus to have a one hour lesson with
talented baseball coaches.
Baseball is a traditional American sport that is growing in popularity
around the world. A sport played in warm summer months it is a great
family sport to go and watch and also play in the park. Children who
practice in baseball training will improve their running skills,
hand-eye coordination, catching and throwing. They will also develop a
better understanding of teamwork, strategy, and discipline. This sport
can also be taught at different age levels with many great things to
learn at all ages.
The Amigo Baseball Camp works with the American MLB franchise to provide
high end training and proper instruction for children. Coaches are
skilled athletes that are trained to teach children the great game of
baseball. Newton looks forward to more cooperation with Amigo in the
future and we hope that some of our students become more interested in
participating in the classic game!
